Blog15 More Days…

January 15, 2018by T Q

Happy MLK Day! I’ve decided that I’m taking 15 more days. I talked last year about the shame of giving us 30 days… 30 fucking days and that’s it for Black History Month. Officially, I’m putting 2 more weeks on it starting TODAY. Celebrate! Tell your people! It’s a big deal! It’s a whole new world you know? We can say and do whatever we want these days. Look at our president! He can get on TV and bullshit so I can get on my site and do the same right?

Wrong. No bullshit involved.

Black History Month starts today, right here at TheRealTQ.com.

Having been born in Alabama, I’ve had first hand experience with the civil rights movement through my older family members. I’ve had first hand experience with why the civil rights movement was necessary also… in Alabama. Here’s the thing. That movement… for civil rights, is still necessary. That is a problem. We can’t get over differences that we can’t control. Where did that come from? If you take away history, is there actually a reason for 2 people to hate each other because of the color of their skin?

Today we celebrate one of the greatest civil rights leaders in history.

I wonder if he celebrates us? If I’m listening to “I have a Dream” or “I’ve Been to the Mountain Top,” I’m wondering if we’ve made the progress that Dr. King expected by now? I seriously doubt it. Black Boys are still getting shot and killed by white police. Black Boys are still getting shot and killed by black boys. (MLK is rolling over in his grave over this one… ?) There is an overwhelming propaganda campaign to turn black women against black men and “other methods” of engineering a new form of genocide. If you don’t have black babies you don’t have a black race. This is working so well that I’d go so far as to say it’s been adapted for full-on population control. Do old powerful people really care about what happens after they die? (I’m gonna stop right there… ?).

I advise all people of color and any person who has played a positive role, or is a descendant of someone who played a positive role in the civil rights movement, to celebrate today. Celebrate your right to a chance because of the ideals of this country. I invite you to read about Fred Douglass and Cesar Chavez. Erase the 24 hr Trump cycle in your head and remember the words that we were built on… “All men are created equal.” The words “ALL MEN” encompass every single one of us. As a definition, regardless of what it meant when it was written, we are all covered…

So…

Black, White, Asian, Latin, Men, Women, Children, Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Atheist, Agnostic, Straight, Gay, Flat Earth, Round Earth, Democrat, Republican, Fat, Skinny, Light skin, Dark skin, Rich, Poor, Smart, Not so Much…

EQUAL.

Dr. King had a dream, but that dream was first laid out years before him… That dream is embedded in us through the words of the founding fathers of this country. Sometimes we just have to read them again…

Read them again…

And read them again.

Happy MLK Day and Happy Black History month…

plus 15 more days
